She licked her dry, chapped lips and forced her way through the many bricks and rubble that had locked her for so long in her prison, it was over and her aura needed recharging.
She climbed out, unseen by her captor and stole away to a shaft of sunlight outside, streaming down from the heavens. The sun warmed her face and charged her aura to its full capacity. She was strong again.
She came back inside and caught her captor unawares, a white flash shot through the air and hit her captor square on the chest, penetrating the skin and bone til it reached his heart, stopping it mid pulse. The room was tinged with the slight smell of fresh stra

She spent all afternoon picking out her outfit for the night. It came down to a red dress that showed off and emphasised the voluptuous curves of her body, the other was a black dress which could make any man bend to her will. It was a tough decision, showing off her body or bending men to her will, both were appealing in every way and both were things she loved to do.
After much thought, she decided on the red dress, it was fiery and sexy, just like her personality. She readied herself to go for it was getting quite late; she slipped the dress over her head, letting it slide down her body like the graceful fall of a feather as it makes its
The way she danced made his heart sing. The way she lept through the air made his heart leap to, every spin she made was made with such control, she moved with such grace, rather like a swan gliding on water. He was struck with admiration and awe, as was the audience when she danced. She was the best of the best, a Prima Ballerina, but she wouldn't settle for anyone like him.
He spent all his earnings on tickets just to watch her dance but he went broke in the process.
One night, the first time ever, he couldn't scrape up the money to her new and final ballet. She was retiring and this was the last opportunity to watch her dance. He was abs
She crept out of the tunnel towards the harsh sunlight. Getting away from those 'cool kids' had been easier than she thought, almost too easy.
Suddenly overcome by suspicion, she ran full pelt, ducking and weaving her way through the forest.
A sharp crack cut through the dense air, making her skid to a halt in shock, her heart racing, the fear overcoming her. She tried to calm her breathing, and kept as still as she could.
A dark shadow made its way towards her.
Just looking at the shadow, being so dense and black, could give the illusion that you had gone blind. It's red eyes glowed and peered at her as she stood still, trying to blend
"I dare you to open it."
"But why?"
"Just open it, you know you want to."
The box was tempting his every desire, but to open it, he knew it would cause great harm.
The box was plain enough; made of solid wood, and the finish was a tad worn. Nothing about this box should have stood out, nothing about this box should have called to him. Wasn't it just an ordinary box? But then if it was, why did he want it, to open it, do discover what it held inside?
"Open it," the girl repeated.
"What's the hurry," replied the boy, for he liked taking time to admire and dream of what could possibly be held within this wooden frame.
He ran his hand over
She opened her eyes but saw nothing.
Had she gone blind? No. She could vaguely make out the shapes of bars as her eyes slowly adjusted to the gloom. And then it hit her. The stench was so overwhelming and ghastly and her eyes stung and started streaming. Breathing in made her gag with the effort of sucking in such thick and purtrid air.
She shut her eyes, hoping to try stem the streaming and to stop the stinging; she tried to focus on breathing through her mouth, but the rancid air left a thick, slimy coating on the inside of her mouth, reminding her of the days her father used to blow cigar smoke into her face and watched her laugh as she
I breathe in the air filled with the sweet musk of wild English roses. This is my place, a place for solace, a place for relaxation and reflection. The coldness of the bench beneath me seeps through my excessive layers of winter clothing, it is not cold, but I am. I listen to the twitter of birds busily chatting in the trees, singing their songs, which bring such peaceful music to my ears. The wind rustles through the branches above me, creaking with every push the wind gives them, my hair flows around my face, whipping to and fro as the mode of the breeze changes direction. The plane landed with a screech of tires. Everyone stood at the same time and started to file out of the plane. I got to the exit of the plane but tripped on the little peg that attaches the stairs to the door. All of a sudden a pair of cold, smooth hands grabbed me below the elbows. "Please,be careful." a young voice said. I turned around and I came face to face with a boy about the same age I am,sixteen. His eyes were limitless pools of deep gray. His black hair slightly slicked back by clear gel. Two bright green highlights brightened the sides of his face. I swallowed and turned back around.
He was gorgeous! But I cou

Sunlight streamed through the airplane window and hit my face. I groaned as I started to get up. My body ached from sleeping upright in the chair. I retrieve my hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste and head towards the restroom. I locked the door and started brushing out knots in my hair. By the way,my name is Jennifer Atane. My parents, who are now gone, were originally from a town called Osaka in Japan, but they moved to America a few years before I was born.
Now that they're gone I'm going back to Japan to Tokyo to live with my Aunt Kagura. I finished brushing my teeth and I closed the door when I heard the pilot say. "We

Light Shifters. Always acting like they're on top. I stretched my toes out and let my right foot dangle off the side of the branch I perched on. I reached my hands to the sky and placed them casually behind my head as I leaned back into the tree. I did a large yawn and cracked my neck. I never felt more calm, peaceful--. A Light Shifter jumped up and knocked me out of the tree. More pissed off than I ever have been! I tucked into a ball before I fell hard onto the ground. I growled at the white wolf as my teeth sharpened. I crouched low to the ground and dug my nails deep into the dirt ground. The wolf straightened an

Chapter One-Ayumu:Breaking the Rules
I felt so free as I raced along the side of the highway. I laughed a wolf laugh as I continued to run. I don't understand how this was dangerous. Not in the least. I stopped dead in my tracks as I felt the air being slowly squeezed from my lungs. I slowly walked to the tree line and Shifted back into my human body. I fell onto my knees and was gasping for breath. Lights danced in my vision as I started to black out. Last thing I saw was the ground rushing up to my face.
My head felt light as I woke up. But I didn't open my eyes. My head hurt like no one's business and my chest felt tight but not like ear
Prologue
The light of the full moon beamed through the forest's canopy as he ran. His breathing was shalllow and the soles of his barefeet aching. He'd rather risk having a chance of living to not having a chance at all by changing. Hell, he didn't even know if he was a Light Shifter or a Shadow Shifter. He swallowed as he heard the padded paws of the Nature Shifters closing in. A howl pierced through the night. He screamed and clamped his hands over his ears. He fell to his knees. The pain! What pain he felt shooting through his skull. The Nature Shifters were upon him before he opened his eyes. Flesh teared from bone and blood soaked the g
Dusty Bark was a crooner
He'd love to stand and sing
Strutting the stages
He felt like a king
His shoes were in tatters
His jacket was torn
His jeans denim faded
As he welcomed the dawn
As the sun hit his mouth
What a glorious sound!
A rich mellow tenor
Smooth, full and round
A little boy once asked him
"How is it you sing?"
Dusty looked to the stars, and the moon, and the sun in the sky,
Looked down at the boy
And he couldn't think of a thing!
Three snowmen once stood,
A delicate three
Watching the snow fall
Like leaves on a tree
They looked at each other
Glanced back at the ground
Looked up once again
And then all turned around
The world had been painted
A glorious white
The Earth had a hunger
For snow falling light
But the snowmen weren't happy,
They were downright depressed
They wanted more colour
Than simple whiteness
So together they cooked up
A scheme that would last
They would embellish their surroundings
With polka-dots made of glass
All pink and gold
Saffron and blue
Violet, amber
And emerald too
Purple and orange
Scarlet like fire
They painted th

It's been the better part of 5 years since I've been on here. I've come a long way from who I was, but then again... Has anyone ever really changed?
I've loved, I've lost, I've been broken and I've cried. Can't tell you how many times I've picked myself up only to be thrown down into the dust again.
But that's life. It's what we do.
I'm struggling with severe anxiety, severe depression and severe insomnia.. But I'm still here. So I guess that counts for something..
The noise in my head still gets pretty loud sometimes.. And it's hard to block out.. But I have an adorable English Staffy who looks at me with his big brown eyes and reminds m
it's been a long time and a long while since i've stepped foot.. or rather.. cyber foot onto this very site..
going through the motions of failing year 12 .. except for the music and art components.. which frankly are all that matter to me..
i've had new friendships and lost a few dear ones to me.. ahh! the joys of life!
What i have been up to?
Joined a crew at the speedway.. burnt my leg on a red hot exhaust pipe.. practised and practised these music soiree pieces over and over.. learnt a new instrument.. cried myself to sleep.. practised my soiree pieces.. failed a few subjects such as english and chem.. WHO NEEDS THEM ANYWAY?! meh

they are fourteen and fifteen years old.. and already they think love is the most important thing in the world.. and that they can't be happy unless they're all grown up with responsibilities and relationships..
but let me tell you.. they're no big deal and after 5 months of being in one.. i liked having the freedom and being able to look at other people without feeling guilty [perks of single life]
besides.. you can have more fun when you're single.. caus
